As we come towards the end of an incredibly busy summer, with tourist numbers increased due to the uncertainties of foreign holidays, we now have a new word in our vocabulary – ‘staycation’!
It wasn’t many years ago when virtually everyone we knew stayed at home for their holidays. Perhaps this might include coach trips, a visit to the funfair or a few days staying with relatives, or just a day trip to the beach or out in the country with a picnic, thermos flask and a blanket to sit on! My, how things have changed.
